Christmas surprise potholder pattern
I found this pattern, called Open Cross, in the Loop Group section, on the Friendly Loom site. (You can join the Loop Group for free.) I altered the pattern a bit by making the middle of the potholder a solid color, instead of alternating colors for both warp (vertical) and weft (horizontal). For a 19-peg loop, the red loops are on pegs 8-12. For a 27-peg loom, the red loops would be on pegs 10-18 (or basically the cross part of the pattern). What's the surprise? After I m

The other day, though, I noticed that the pattern is the Two-one basketweave pattern for an 18-page loom on Piglet's Potholder Pattern site. (There is also a pattern for a 27-peg loom ).
