Leftover loop day

Sometimes when I'm waiting for my next loop delivery, I dig into my loop bag to see what I can come up with.
I found an idea for a pattern in Potholder Loom Designs by Rachel Snack, a book I bought a few years ago. I had doubts about the lime green loops in the middle, but it turns out that's what makes the design intriguing, which is why I need to trust others with a bolder design sense. My impulse is usually to create a very matchy-match type of pattern.
I didn't follow the pattern exactly because I had only a few of the colors. Here are the colors I used:
Warp (vertical): Alternating plum and white
Weft (horizontal): Plum, robin's egg blue, green, lime, green, robin's egg blue, plum

Looking back at the pattern in the book, I see that the actual colors for this pattern are somewhat different than the ones I chose. The warp colors are alternating black and white loops, and the weft colors are blue, peacock, green, lime green, purple, and plum.
But it's leftover loop day, so I needed to improvise!
