Some of my favorite potholders are made with the Friendly Loom spice loops.

Here's one:

The pattern is:

Vertical loops from left to right:

1. winter white

2. spice

3. winter white

4. spice

5. winter white

6. spice

continue all the way across.

Horizontal from bottom left to top: Weave in all flax loops.
