Basketweave potholder pattern (in blue, flax, and burgundy)

This potholder was inspired by an image I saw online.

Here's how I made it:

Color: burgundy, robin's egg blue, and flax

Vertical loops from left to right:

1. flax

2. blue

3. flax

4. flax

5. blue

6. flax

7. flax

8. blue

9. flax

10. flax

11. blue

12. flax

13. flax

14. blue

15. flax

16. flax

17. blue

18. flax

Horizontal, from bottom left to top (all burgundy loops):

First row: Starting from the left, weave a burgundy loop:

• over one flax loop.

• under a blue loop,

• over two flax loops,

• under a blue loop, and

• over two flax loops.

Continue the pattern all the way across.

Second row: Weave the burgundy loop:

• under a flax loop,

• over a blue loop,

• under two flax loops,

• over a blue loop,

• under two flax loops, etc.

Continue the pattern all the way across.

Finish the rows by weaving under or over one flax loop.
